StoryStudio Students and Instructors Read Aloud

This fall we’ll be all over the place!

First off, on Sunday, October 7, current students and our very own Erin O’Neill will be sharing their work at the inaugural StoryStudio Student Reading. It happens each month right after the Writing Cafe, beginning at 3:15pm. It’s free. It’s open to all. So come and listen.

StoryStudio Short Story instructor Melanie Pappadis moved here from NYC and decided we needed a monthly reading series like the one she enjoyed in Manhattan. So she started the Sunday Salon. On October 28 SSC Instructor Elizabeth Reeder and will be paired with SSC student Tres MacDonald.

Then on Sunday, November 18, it will be SSC student Stacy Hope Jones joining me on the platform. Stacy will be sharing some of her fantastical story of faeries and catfish (I know how amazing it is because we’ve been reading it in the Advanced Writers Workshop). Me? I’ll be reading a new short piece called, “The Hairy Toed-Angel.”

Come on our and support all of our readers!

(Oh, if you’re a current StoryStudio student and want to participate in a reading, just send us an email to i. We’ll hook you up with Paige who does the scheduling.)
