Great news from one of StoryStudio’s screenplay instructors, Barb Lhota!  Babes With Blades is presenting an invited reading of her play “Los Desaparecidos (The Vanished)” at StoryStudio on November 13 at 7:30 p.m.  Refreshments will be served, and the reading will be followed with a talk. 

What’s more, Babes With Blades is producing Barb’s play at Raven Theatre, set to debut in Spring 2008.  David Woolley directs.  We’ll keep you posted on ticket sales and dates!

Barb’s play is the winner of Babes With Blade’s 2007-8 Joining Sword & Pen playwriting competition.  “Los Desaparecidos (The Vanished)” explores the impact of family ties, societal pressures, and unexpected romance on the lives of two sisters in 16th-century Spain.
