This month’s Sunday Salon will feature the reading talents of Shannon Burke, the author of the novels Safelight and the newly released Black Flies (Soft Skull Press); Amy Guth, the founder of Pilcrow Lit Fest, host of the Fixx Reading Series, and author of Three Fallen Women (So New Media Publishing, 2006), as well as a forthcoming second novel, Light of Waters; Ben Tanzer, the author of the novels Lucky Man (Manx Media, 2007) and Most Likely You Go Your Way and I’ll Go Mine (Orange Alert Press, forthcoming), and Jill Summer, whose audio fiction has been featured internationally by Chicago Public Radio, the Third Coast International Audio Festival, and New Adventures in Sound Art.
The Sunday Salon, a prose reading series that began in New York City in 2002, is run by StoryStudio instructor Melanie Pappadis, who brings together diverse literary talents the last Sunday of every month. Check out their website for more information.
Come out to the Charleston Bar in Bucktown (2076 N. Hoyne) on Sunday night, July 27, to support our friends Shannon, Amy, Ben, and Jill!
