There’s Still Time…

to check out the 2009 Chicago Book Festival!  There are plenty of events left this month, including an illustrated talk by Carl Smith (author of this year’s One Book, One Chicago selection Plan of Chicago), at the Harold Washington Library tomorrow morning, 11 a.m.  Other highlights: Augusten Burroughs at the Music Box Theater on October 27th, and a lecture and slide show by Victoria Granacki outlining the history of what was once referred to as “Chicago’s Polish Downtown”, an area currently known as Wicker Park, East Village, River West and Bucktown.  Go to chipublib.org for a full schedule of events!
