“Women and Children First is launching a monthly Saturday night “Sappho’s Salon” and is looking for female (past/present/future), feminist/queer/lesbi positive musical acts, reader/writers/performers and other types of variety show acts. Pay is based on door donations and “pass the hat.” E-mail description / bio to pressgirl at ameritech dot net and or drop off a CD or DVD of what you do at the bookstore c/o Kathie. Events would occur on Saturday nights, and be booked one to two months in advance. Must be able to be performed unplugged, on small stage with minimal AV requirements.  We’re also interested in hearing from touring acts. Auditions will be highly selective. We’re looking for edgy, fun, thought-provoking, very queer talent.”
