We got a really nice write up today in CenterStage Chicago. If you haven’t seen it, take a look: Get It Write: Sick of sitting on the beach? Jump-start your brain with these writing outlets. Written by Alicia Eler, it’s a nice rundown of places in town to take writing classes.

I know it’s like we’re tooting our our own horn, but hey, we writers should toot more often!

And if you troll through these types of websites often, let us know what interesting tidbits you find.

This reading is part of the citywide Pilcrow Literary Festival.

Reading and cavorting will take place at 42 Degrees N. Latitude is located at 4500 N. Lincoln in the Lincoln Square neighborhood, where we’ll be gathering at 7:00 and starting the program at 7:30.

StoryStudio will open its doors from 9am to 9pm on Saturday, January 31, 2009, for all your writing needs.  Struggling with a short story?  Trudging through a novel?  Come for an hour, an afternoon, or the whole day to find the encouragement and space you need to get writing.  We’ll have snacks, drinks, and lots of comfortable corners in which to curl up and write!

No need to register—you can just show up!  But we’d love to hear from you if you do plan to come....!

Come by on Tuesday, August 19 from 4pm to 7pm for a StoryStudio Open House.

We’ll have pots of coffee, tea and cookies.

You’ll have a nice time writing or reading or meeting other writers or talking with us about your writing goals and how to get there. There will be details on the Fall Class Schedule and you can ask any questions you wish.

Hang out in the studio or just want to check us out, this is a great opportunity to do both!
